Safe Sleep Policy

The state of North Carolina requires that childcare centers and homes place all infants on their backs when they sleep.  Once the child is able to roll themselves over from their back to their stomach, they may rest on their stomachs.  Children must still be placed on their backs each time they are put to sleep.  Infants will be visually supervised during their naptime.  A log will be kept of `naptimes and when the infants are closely checked.  Infants will be closely checked, meaning the caregiver will go to the crib to visually and with touch, check the infant at least once during each naptime.  The policy also states that nothing be placed over the infants head or face while napping.  WEE SCHOOL does not allow bumper pads, thick blankets, or large stuffed animals in the cribs.
